Southern Style Stewed Chicken is a favorite in many homes across the American South. Stewed chicken is a quick and easy to meal, pairs lovely with rice or noodles, or can be eaten as complement with a salad for those of us who enjoy a low carb lifestyle. There are so many flavorful options and personal preparation ways to this southern, comfort dish. One of the greatest things about this southern style dish, is its taste on day two. Leftovers much? Of course, the taste is even better on day two.

Here’s how our stewed chicken is prepared.
Our Ingredients:
1/2 finely chopped green pepper
1/2 finely chopped red onion
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
black pepper to taste (very generous for us)
red pepper flakes to taste
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
a few shakes of coriander powder
salt to taste
1 tablespoon of butter for sautéing and taste
