Low Carb Meal Ideas: What’s in my Plate?
One of the quickest ways to revert to unhealthy or an undesirable eating habit is to run out of meal ideas. Saving graces for me are having plenty of staple low carb meal ideas and planning. For me, poor planning equals to a bag of plain Lays mixed with Cheetos for dinner. True story and such an awesome mix.
…wag your finger at the amount of carbs, calories, and salt though. just over the top.
Such is life and anyway, here are a few of my favorite go to low carb meals.
Pictured above, green salad, with romaine, arugula, tomatoes, onions, and a boiled egg. I may have dressing or use salt and lemon juice as dressing. This is easily paired with grilled chicken tenders, a juicy rib-eye, or seasoned beef patty.
More Low Carb Meal Ideas
My favorite. Click the link above to see how it’s made.
Zoodles & Bolognese (meat sauce)
This cute dish includes warmed zoodles, 1 minute in a pan, with a hint of butter and garlic with traditionally prepared bolognese (spaghetti meat).
Cabbage, Onions, and Beef Sausage
Two of my favorites, beef and sausage, married in a pan with a hint of butter, pepper, and garlic, then went honeymooning and never seen again. (insert too much drama here) This is also one of my favorite meals because it only takes about 20 minutes to prepare including prep time.
Scrambled Eggs & Sausage
Scrambled eggs with red sausage is the fastest meal to make. If available, I use Circle B Brand Beef Sausages. These sausages are only available in limited states, so when they aren’t available, I use a local brand. This very “non-descript” and sometimes frowned upon meal consists of two scrambled eggs and one boiled, then open-fried sausage link. I only pair this with water because of the sodium content in the sausage. I’ll have this for either breakfast or dinner.
Low Carb Meals, if not planned, can challenge this way of eating. I suggest identifying three to five favorite meals to couple the the new recipes you’ll find in your hunt. Plan to be successful or not.
